Before the wires reached the village, the jugnu was the first light after dusk.
A small, restless glow that made the dark feel warm — flickering over the fields while the evening meal was cooked over open coals. We took its name because that is what we are after: not spectacle, but warmth you can gather around.
Every plate at Jugnu is built slowly, from spice ground the same morning and fire kept low and patient. Each one is meant to do what the firefly does — catch the light, and hold it a moment longer.
